TOOTH PASTE IS NOT JUST TOOTH PASTE…READ THE INGREDIENTS TO CHOOSE WHATS GOOD FOR YOU.

Different companies have different formula for their tooth paste but they all contain either of the following ingredients.

Peroxide (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide) and these products remove both surface and deep stains on teeth and can cause teeth to become even lighter than their natural shade.

Zinc sulphate its effective against common prevalent oral health problems like dental carries,gingivitis periodontitis and malodour by fighting bacteria that causes this diseases.

Sodium laryl sulphate is the main detergent in tooth paste. Its function is to clean teeth through removal of food debris dental plagues and strains. Originally toothpaste containe d soap but had a very unpleasant taste. Replaced in 1930s

cocamidopropyl betaine is a foaming ingredient from coconut oil that helps to emulsify and maintain consistency in flavour and foaming action helps distribute the paste in the mouth helping removal of debris from the mout for better rinsing.

Sodium fluoride helps make teeth more resistant to decay and bacteria that causes cavities better used 30mins – 1hr before bedtime.

Sodium monoflourophosphate is has slightly less after taste than sodium fluoride.

Sodium bicarbonate helps in whitening teeth,prevent tooth decay cavity formation and gum disease by balancing acidic level of residual foods.

Tetrasodium pyrophosphate acts as a tartar, calculus control agent, serving to remove calcium and magnesium from saliva and thus preventing them from being deposited on teeth. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate is used in commercial dental rinses before brushing to aid in plaque reduction.

Triclosan 0.30% is an antibacterial and antifungal agent.

Stannous fluoride work like a shield to protect the exposed soft, inner part of the tooth called dentin. This shield helps prevent triggers, like a cold soda, sweets, or sour candy, from reaching the nerves inside the tooth and causing pain.

Potassium nitrate soothe the nerves inside your teeth, preventing them from sending pain signals from triggers, like a burst of cold air or hot coffee.

Sensodyne Deep Clean and Sensodyne True White toothpastes do not have SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), an ingredient that makes toothpaste foamy when you brush, but can also irritate sensitive teeth and gums.

Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate is a foaming agent and surfactant. It is derived from coconut oil.
